Class
Description
You will enjoy working with Michael and other participants to develop
skills to raise responsible kids and to make your job as a parent a little
easier right away.
In the class you will watch brief video presentations by Jim Fay, Foster
W. Cline M.D. and Charles Fay, PhD., as they illustrate with entertaining
stories how to work effectively with children.
The class will discuss the skills presented, practice them, and explore
how they could be used with the children in our lives. The Parent Handbook
provides further exploration of the topics discussed in class.

Becoming
a Love and Logic Parent is designed to be useful for all sorts or parents
ranging from those who feel frustrated and stressed out to those who just
want to add more tools to their toolbox, and enrich already strong relationships
with their kids.
Love and Logic parenting can be practiced effectively with kids of any
age (different strategies within Love and Logic are emphasized for children
as developmentally appropriate).
Your first
class, you will walk away with strategies that you can use with your kids
the next day.
Love and
Logic is a way of working with kids that ....
|
|
 |
.... gives parents a healthy amount of control by helping them set consistent
limits in loving ways,
.... raises kids that are confident by giving them lots of practice at
making responsible decisions,
.... creates relationships between parents and kids that are mutually
respectful.
In this class you will learn how to:
Set enforceable limits.
Neutralize arguing.
Learn the difference between fighting words and
thinking words.
Use choices to share control, so you have control when you
really need it.
Let consequences (balanced with empathy) be the bad guy.
Effectively use choices.
Turn your words into gold.
Mean business without being mean. |
